donations, payments of tribute, exchanges for in-game help, whoring canemage out… whatever it takes to get them…..

1) Do Salvage runs daily
2) Do Dynamis and sell currency
3) Do FC parties and charge
4) Craft high-priced items and sell on AH
5) Do seal-fights for high-priced items and sell

Do all of those at the same time and you'll get there eventually.People from the LS can help you with them, too, so you're working together towards the goal (and possibly also helping them obtain their own), rather than just relying on straight-up donations of Alex in exchange for services thereafter. It's a more pro-active approach ;)

Appreciate the insight for a roadmap in acquiring more Alex.

1) I am already in a Salvage Static with Bengal and Bigbully.
2) I do Dyna occasionally…. but was saving currency for relic.
3) Yea, I guess I could pick up FC'ing again…. that's always a nice gil maker.
4) no crafting skills, and my gil is being put towards other stuff (i.e. alex)
5) haven't really thought of this one… maybe I'll give it a try.
